Native Nurturing for Young People 8-15 June 10th 2:00pm-5:00pm
This event will be focused on the teachings of the Drum. We will learn about the Drums that have been used over the centuries
as well as the Spiritual Traditions of the Drum. We will have a Drum Circle and celebrate each other and Mother Earth.
If you have a Drum or other percussion instruments, please bring them with you. If not, we have Drums for the Young People to use and enjoy.
Over the years, we have noticed that these special, beautiful children who Spirit has brought to us are becoming visionaries themselves. It is such a joy to see children who are not fettered with all the chains of ignorance that once held us back.
Consider attending these workshops with your children, grandchildren, or godchildren. Even if you have no children, please feel free to come and give your support. It will renew your faith that Creator is ever present and that our world is in Spirit’s hands.

Healing Sound Journey – June 13th 6:30-8:30pm Elemental Healing
A profound and powerful experience of healing sound and vibration. Every “Sound Journey” is different, as it is essentially an intuitive, shamanic process, the leaders require a deep sensitivity for what is needed in the moment. This Journey will be lead by Robbie Warren, Trai Hill and Zach McNabb, all experienced in sound and healing.
Participants or journeyers are asked to remove your shoes and lie as comfortably as possible, face up, and where space permits, in a circle with heads towards the center.
The instruments, including didgeridoo, Tibetan singing bowls, Native American frame drum, and others are played in the center of the circle.
The sound is kept at a very subtle level, and is constant, as to assist the participants to forget the density of the physical body. The spirit or soul is then free to travel. Sound, especially unstructured sound, bypasses the intellectual, analytical hemisphere of the brain, allowing the creative, intuitive hemisphere to have free reign.
There is no guarantee that everyone will enjoy all the sounds, but any sound that one objects to will almost certainly be removing or identifying a block on the physical, etheric, emotional or spiritual level.
If you go to sleep, which can happen, the sound will be just as effective, working directly on the physical and etheric bodies, and the unconscious mind.
A specific objective can be established before the Sound Journey begins, for example asking to receive guidance in resolving an issue in one’s life, or the solution to a specific problem. Some people receive visions and symbols, or even totem animals.
The whole process will take approximately 1½ hours, of which 50-60 mins. will be pure sound.
The most important thing is to enjoy oneself! Soak up the sounds and allow them to flow through and heal…….

Drum Circle and Sweat Lodge at Sacred Grove Retreat Center- June 17th @ 2:00
The Drum is the heartbeat of Mother Earth. In the sacred circle we call to her, we listen to her, we learn from her and we heal her.
Our Drum Circles begin with a round played to honor the heartbeat of Mother Earth as we call in the Spirit Keepers of the 4 Directions. Then we will play our Drums, rattles or any other instruments you choose in celebration of Creator, Life and each other.
The drum brings the physical and mental side back in touch with the spiritual and emotional. When we connect back to Mother Earth’s heartbeat, the healing & balancing that we need comes easily. The heartbeat can help release stress, tension and anxiety. It provides a deep state of relaxation. It improves mental clarity and increases your level of physical energy and mental concentration. Therefore it aids in good physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health.
General Items to Bring
· Your personal drum, as we only have a few to share.
· Other instruments or rattles for the 5th round.
· Perhaps a blanket if you prefer to sit closer to Mother Earth.
What is a Sweat Lodge?
A sweat lodge is an ancient ceremony used for purification and healing. The Lodge itself represents the womb of Mother Earth. We enter into the Lodge and offer out prayers and set our intentions with Spirit. As we leave the Lodge, we are being reborn into the new life we choose to create for ourselves. Most people experience a shift either from the release of prayers or simply by the re-unification to Mother Earth. Although the intention of each lodge can be different, the sacred space created by the darkness and the heat always allows for Spirit to whisper into the ears of those present.
What happens at a Sweat Lodge?
A sacred fire is built around stones outside the lodge and is attended by a Fire Keeper. Participants crawl into the lodge and the hot stones are placed into a pit in the center. The stones are blessed by the leader with cedar and sweet grass. Water is then sprinkled on the rocks, instantly turning into steam. This begins round 1 in which songs are sung and prayers are made to the Creator. At the end of the round, more stones are added for round two. There are a total of four rounds, honoring each of the four cardinal directions. After the Sweat, all are welcome to share in a feast.
The Fire Keepers will light the Fire at 2:00pm and the Lodge will begin around 4:00pm. Bring a towel, a change of clothes and water to drink after the Lodge. Dress is modest and tradition asks that women wear a T shirt and skirt (or sarong) to honor the Elders, men wear a t-shirt and shorts or sarong. A change of clothes for after the Lodge is a good idea.

Shamanic Journey Workshop TBA
Shamanism is the about being connected with nature, understanding that we are earth-based, the real and living knowledge which is then used for balance, health, relationship as well as success in all that is that we do.
The Shaman is said to be walking with one foot in the everyday world and with the other in the spirit world. Different cultures may express their views on the two realities in differently, but the basic idea is the same.
Shamans are explorers of doorways from ordinary reality into non-ordinary (NOR) reality through portals leading him from the physical to the spirit world. They are moving between those two worlds. In order to bring about a balance between the physical and spiritual worlds the shaman uses mystical powers to journey to other worlds or realities and communicates with spirits.
The Shamanic Journey is a way of finding answers, information, healing, wisdom and knowledge as well as guidance or help with one’s personal life. During the Journey he meets with spirits who may be regarded as ancestors, elders, gods, goddesses, deceased shamans, spirit guides, power animals and angels. These beings are seen as beings with great wisdom, power and the ones who are willing to help with guiding the living.
In this workshop we will explore the alternate realities and learn the traditional ways to make the journey. This workshop will introduce the participant to these places in a safe and controlled environment. We will learn how to Journey for ourselves and meet our Animal Guides for assistance as well as our Spirit Guides and Teachers. We will also learn to Journey for others which is the true purpose of the Shamanic Journey.
If you are called to the Earth Medicine Path, Journeying is an essential tool for the work.
